PDF Conversion

Portable Document Format (PDF) documents can be easily viewed using the free Acrobat Reader software.  This means your viewers do not have to have the same software as you. It will not matter to them if your original document was created in Microsoft Word, they can use their free copy of Acrobat Reader to view the file. The other advantage of the PDF format is security. Perhaps you want to distribute a document, but prevent people from changing it.  Acrobat is famous for its' security.  You can stop people from changing the document and even from copying it.

Sample PDF Files

To give you some ideas about what can be done with Acrobat files. Here are some links to some sample files.

• The WebGenii Consulting brochure. This is a sample of the kind of security you can achieve with Acrobat.  The file cannot be changed or copied without password access. However, printing has been made available.
• A Sample Invoice. Many people do not realize that PDF files can also be highly interactive.  This invoice shows off some of that interactivity. You'll notice the green help notes on the Invoice to help the user fill out the form. The PST rates change with the province selected from the drop-down list (although I haven't gone east of Quebec). Fields that will calculate themselves are highlighted in yellow. Try filling out the form! Finally, I've attached an email button that will attach the completed form to an email message.
• Children's Flashcards. A PDF file doesn't have to be a standard 8 1/2 x 11 page.  You'll also notice that these flashcards launch without a tool bar.

Per document - straightforward document conversion $10/per document.
Per hour - Bulk documents or interactive documents $50/hr.
